Hinged does not collect, store off your device, share or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Hinged makes no network requests of its own.

What Hinged uses on your device, and why

• Hinge angle and motion. Hinged reads the angle of your iPhone Duo's hinge (or, on other iPhones, how far you tilt it) to play sounds as you open and close it. These readings are used live and then discarded. They are never saved or sent anywhere.
• In-app purchases. Some sounds are unlocked with an in-app purchase. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; Hinged never sees your payment details, and only checks with your device which sounds you own.
• Settings. Your preferences, such as whether you've already seen the how-to, are saved on your device only.
